1: What is SDS?

Self-Directed Support (SDS) is funding the Regional Center provides to help individuals transition into the Self-Determination Program (SDP).

This initial payment covers pre-enrollment activities like Person-Centered Planning (PCP), Spending Plan development, and finding an FMS (Financial Management Service)

2: To qualify for Self-Directed Support:

Individuals who are transitioning into SDP through a Regional Center.

Families who need support in understanding and implementing SDP.

Those who have not yet fully enrolled in SDP but need pre-enrollment guidance.

​3: How to Request SDS

Contact your Regional Center Service Coordinator.

Submit a request for Pre-Enrollment Support under SDS

Provide an invoice for approved services once the Spending Plan is finalized.

Payments are processed through the Financial Management Service (FMS).
